LaTasha Burton

President, Founder and Lead Educator

LaTasha Burton is the President, Founder, and Lead Educator for Pink Ribbons of Endurance. The founding and evolution of Pink Ribbons of Endurance, which is a non-profit (501c3), was based on LaTasha's personal experience working with clients dealing with the debilitating and demoralizing side affects associated with cancer. Putting together this organization fulfilled a lifelong passion to serve her community and a dream come true for a professional that exemplifies haircare and beauty.

Pink Ribbon of Endurance was developed over 10 years ago when a client, Mrs. Whatley experience hair loss due to chemotherapy, was brought to LaTasha's salon by her children. Mrs. Whatley had been to several stylists only to leave feeling dismayed. Nevertheless LaTasha knew she could help! In a little under two hours, Mrs. Whatley was provided a customized hand made wig. When the final look was revealed she cried stating " This is the first time I've looked like myself in such a long time". Though, Mrs. Whatley passed away 6 months later, her children still contact LaTasha each year to express gratitude on how she made their mother feel.

LaTasha has been working as a licensed cosmetologist for over 20 years. She is the owner of A Dude & Diva Studio located in Fremont, California. She chose to lend her talents to cancer because in some way everyone is affected by cancer. She prides herself in exceeding expectations when it comes to hair extensions, customized wig applications, along with applying makeup and eyelash extensions. She hopes Pink Ribbons of Endurance will serve as a valuable resource to those fighting against the harsh realities of cancer. She hopes to be a pillar of the community for the fighters and the families!
